On my arms
There used to be scars
Reminders of how much I hated myself
But now there is a promise
Of love, of life
Of forgiveness
Now I know
I am not here to fail
I am here to help
Myself, and others
There are some who need me too
Believe it or not
On my arms
There were names carved deep out of depression
Desperation
But now, there is love
I used to want to scream
But I knew no one would listen
I was glad
I wanted to die
I wanted to fade away
Now I know
I am not useless
We only want to help you
So put the knife away
This isn't what anybody needs
This isn't good for you
I know you don't care
But I do
But I do
So what if you aren't "perfect"
Perfection becomes redefined in the eyes of the world
Perfection's on the inside
Beauty isn't just skin deep
So go to sleep tonight
Knowing you'll wake up tomorrow
Alive
Forgiven
You never were forsaken
Someone came in the night
Like a stranger, like a thief
To steal your pain away
And to write love on your arms
There used to be scars
Reminders of how much I hated myself
But now there is a promise
Of love, of life
Of forgiveness
Now I know
I am not here to fail
I am here to help
Myself, and others

To Write Love On Your Arms
I remember you
And each and every day
As I wrote mementos of love
All up and down your arms
So you wouldnt forget
So you wouldnt feel so very alone.
You were never alone.
But you somehow forgot.
Will you listen to me?
Theres so much I left unsaid.
I thought there would be another day
To explain how much I loved you.
I ran out of time
And so I continue to write
My poems of love
All up and down your arms
To stop you from bleeding
I thought to keep you breathing
To keep you sane.
I thought to keep your heart beating
I have felt the gentle brush of your lips
And your strong arms
Covered in my love
I can ne

To Write Love On Her Arms
Once spoken were words
Stronger than a fragile soul
A tired smile sweeping across
Such a worn-out face
Tell them to look up
Tell them to remember the stars
Two sentences so simple
Bearing a whole world of meaning
Behind a slow, sad smile
Is a broken girl who is uncertain
Of what the future brings
With still years ahead
What a bleak concept
She once thought to herself
As the future lacked appeal
So did her life time after time
But still she held on so tightly
Clinging to the prospect there
Would be a way out sometime
When the clouds would finally clear
Together her friends stood
Wrapping her up in their love
Telling her w

To Write Love On Her Arms
She Said "Tell them to look up. Tell them to remember the stars"
All that we are is encompased in one phrase
hopes and dreams spread amongst the stars
the guiding lights to all that we are
an eternal memory of all who love.
Theres a story, that speaks more than words can tell
of the deepest darkest pain
to the greatest brightest light
a story of hope, a story of love, the story of a girl and her stars
'Shes so similar' I think to myself
and i cant help but listen to how the story speaks
and i cant help but feel how hard the story hits home
when home is a strange place, where do we find hope?
To write love on her arms;
a dream sh
